Last year, a radical abortion ballot initiative passed in the solid red state of Ohio, shocking pro-lifers across the country. The results weren’t even close: 56.78% of Ohio voters backed a ballot initiative to write “reproductive rights” into the state constitution, while only 43.22% opposed it.

How did it happen? The Left’s dark money network provides a key part of the explanation, and the Buckeye State just approved a law to prevent the kind of foreign funding that helped boost abortion across the finish line last year.

While the Left has long demonized “dark money,” the term merely refers to funds that influence American politics and policy without disclosing donors. Most nonprofits are forms of dark money influence, but a network of pass-through nonprofits on the Left further cloaks dark money, and the Left’s dark money network spent more than comparable groups on the Right in 2020.

According to the Ohio Secretary of State’s records, pro-abortion forces spent $53.8 million to back the initiative, while pro-life advocates spent $36.1 million to oppose it. A large chunk of the pro-abortion funding ($8.2 million) came from one left-wing dark money group, the Sixteen Thirty Fund.

Millions of Americans are struggling to afford necessities like food, rent, insurance, and a car payment. But if you’re one of them, don’t expect any understanding from the White House and its sycophants in the media. They say your financial pain is all in your head.

As an MSNBC host put it, Americans need “an economic explainer,” since “people are confused” about their financial situation. They’re actually “doing quite well,” she laughably asserted.

That will surprise the half of Americans who are struggling to make their rent or mortgage payments on time, especially the one-fifth of renters who are skipping meals to stay current, or the 65% of Americans who say their finances have deteriorated over the last year because of inflation.

Similarly, when President Joe Biden was told by an interviewer that food prices are up 30% in four years, he blithely dismissed it. American families, he claimed, “have more money to spend.”

Joe Biden’s new executive order for asylum seekers is a total scam!

Last Tuesday, Joe Biden held a press conference from the East Room to discuss his new asylum “restrictions” and border security measures.

More than 15 million illegal aliens, primarily males of military age, have entered the US during Biden’s administration.

In his first 100 days in office, Joe Biden issued 94 executive actions impacting border policies.

Now, he is presenting himself as a savior with his new “asylum restrictions,” yet thousands of illegal aliens are still granted asylum and released into the US every day.

The New York Post reports that despite Biden’s touted border “crackdown,” approximately 1.8 million illegals will still be able to enter the US annually.

“Dr.” Jill Biden expended at least $345,000 of taxpayers’ hard-earned money so she could fly back and forth between France and the U.S. for the D-Day commemoration and Hunter’s trial. Allegedly the Democratic National Committee (DNC) will be providing at least partial reimbursement for the pricey travels. It seems particularly depressing that, only 80 years after the D-Day invasion of WWII, when some of the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy are still alive, the wife of the U.S. president is squandering Americans’ cash on flights in connection with the shameful deeds of the president’s family. Between Joe possibly soiling his pants on stage and Jill’s jet trips, America sure is looking pathetic on the world stage.

The Western Journal summed up the relevant facts:

Hunter Biden’s trial over his allegedly illegal purchase of a gun was going on in Delaware at the same time as the D-Day memorial services in France, and “Doctor” Jill wanted to split her time attending both… Jill Biden is billing the U.S. government for the $345,400 in flights, the National Taxpayers Union Foundation estimated, according to the newspaper.

A Republican group is running ads in seven deep-red states and five swing states calling for the Supreme Court to reject former President Donald Trump’s claims of absolute immunity.

Republicans for the Rule of Law, a partisan group that is focused on the Constitution rather than loyalty to a party, is spending $2 million in Republican-leaning states and swing states to run anti-Trump ads. The ad will feature conservatives requesting the Supreme Court to reject Trump’s immunity claims.

“Our constitutional system is predicated on legal accountability and equal justice under the law, even for presidents and past presidents,” said Sarah Longwell, the executive director of Republicans for the Rule of Law. “Conservatives feel this in our bones: No man or woman is above the law. In this case, that means rejecting the ‘absolute immunity’ claim.”

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s, D-Calif., proposal to restrict gun rights through a 28th amendment to the U.S. Constitution has failed to gain national traction since it was unveiled one year ago.

Despite the Democratic governor’s enthusiasm in 2023, exactly zero states have agreed to his call for the constitutional convention necessary to amend the U.S. Constitution.

Newsom claimed Sunday that this lack of progress was expected and the amendment could take decades to gain momentum.

Anil Kumar, a Democrat and member of the Wayne State Board of Governors, had his appeal rejected over the Michigan Board of State Canvassers disqualifying him from appealing as a congressional candidate on the August primary ballot.

In a decision released Tuesday morning, the Michigan Court of Appeals nixed Kumar’s motion to overturn the May 31 decision by state canvassers that he did not submit enough valid signatures to make the ballot for the Democratic nomination to the 10th Congressional District.

“At root, plaintiff’s request for mandamus is founded on his factual contention that the Board discounted elector signatures that should instead have been deemed valid,” stated the order. “But in its answer, defendant Board explicitly disputes plaintiff’s factual allegations in that regard and offers contrary evidence. Given the existence of such material factual disputes, we conclude that it would be inappropriate to grant plaintiff any of his requested relief here.”

The Biden administration told the U.S. Border Patrol on Friday to admit, rather than remove, migrants from nearly all Eastern Hemisphere countries.

That’s contrary to Biden’s Tuesday ban on asylum seekers attempting to enter the country beyond a total 2,500 per day, according to The Washington Examiner.

The Bidenistas even have a special name for Eastern Hemisphere transients who have gone through multiple countries where they didn’t seek asylum on their way to the U.S.

They’re called “extra-hemispheric migrants.”

Imagine — a special vocabulary for illegal immigration.

Thousands gathered around the White House Saturday to demand that President Joe Biden stop all military aid to Israel amid its war against the terrorist group Hamas. The “Shut it Down for Palestine” movement, comprised of controversial groups such as Students for Justice in Palestine, organized the giant rally against Israel’s “genocide” in Gaza.

Several organizations in the movement previously praised the Oct. 7 attack in which Hamas killed around 1,200 Israelis, raped women, and took hundreds of hostages. SJP, for example, referred to the terror onslaught as “a historic win” days after the news broke.

Saturday’s gathering proved a striking display of unity between Muslim, Marxist, LGBTQ, and even Jewish activists. Many organizers and demonstrators made it clear that they were not just demanding a “cease-fire” between Israel and Hamas. “Resistance” against the Jewish state–and fierce anti-American sentiment–were the overall themes.

A county judge has once again dismissed charges against a group of illegal immigrants accused of rioting at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Democratic El Paso County Judge Ruben Morales dismissed 59 cases against illegal migrants accused of participating in a border riot in April, ruling that his court has no jurisdiction over the matter, according to local reports. The group of migrants were charged with rioting after allegedly breaking through concertina wire at the border and rushing members of the Texas National Guard near El Paso’s Lower Valley. On Monday, Congressional Republicans released unused video from a January 6 documentary by Alexandra Pelosi which showed her mother, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitting that the lack of security was her “responsibility.” But after ignoring the video that night, the Tuesday morning newscasts of ABC and NBC pounced on unauthenticated (a status they admitted to) audio of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito being pestered by a progressive activist masquerading as a conservative and secretly recording him.

In the newly released video of then-Speaker Pelosi, the Democrat exclaimed: “Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?!” An unidentified female voice suggested they thought they had “sufficient” security before Pelosi snapped, saying: “No, that is not a question of how they had – They don’t know! They clearly didn’t know! And I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more.”

The “Big Three” morning newscasts (ABC, CBS, NBC) on Monday, weighed in on former President Donald Trump’s upcoming pre-sentencing probation hearing. The former president was scheduled to meet virtually with his probation officer from his Mar-a-Lago estate and liberal media couldn’t hide their excitement; speculating prison time.

On NBC’s Today, Laura Jarrett, NBC’s senior legal correspondent and daughter of former Obama advisor Valerie Jarett, hinted that the virtual hearing could be seen as special treatment for Trump since it was “highly unusual.”

Speaking over side-by-side images of Biden and Reagan, Bruce hyped “Biden speaking at the same site where 40 years ago President Reagan delivered one of his most iconic speeches.”

The TV networks take public opinion polls, and sometimes they’re quite upset at what they find. On Sunday’s Face the Nation on CBS, host Margaret Brennan was flummoxed at how a strong majority of Americans support mass deportations. Brennan thinks that’s wildly impractical. She doesn’t seem to think it’s wildly impractical to allow all of these people untrammeled entry into America.

CBS News polling guy Anthony Salvanto explained: “We tested that in a general way in principle. Would you support a new government program that would deport all people living in the U.S. illegally? And that finds majority favor. That finds six in 10. It’s strongest among folks who are MAGA. It’s strongest among Trump supporters, but also from some Democrats as well.”

The Supreme Court has ruled unanimously that the lawsuit filed by the NRA against Marie Vullo, the then-head of New York’s Department of Financial Services, can go forward as Vullo’s threat to go after the NRA over gun advocacy was a violation of the NRA’s First Amendment Rights.

Sonya Sotomayor wrote the unanimous decision, saying, of Vullo’s actions “What she could not do, however, was use her power as the head of the Department of Financial Services to ‘threaten enforcement actions’ against entities that the department regulated “to punish or suppress the NRA’s gun-promotion advocacy.”

The Supreme Court on Thursday reinstated a lawsuit by the National Rifle Association, alleging that a New York official violated the group’s First Amendment rights when she urged banks and insurance companies not to do business with it in the wake of the 2018 shooting at a Florida high school.

In a unanimous decision by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the justices agreed that the NRA had made out a case that Maria Vullo, then the head of New York’s Department of Financial Services, had gone too far in her efforts to get companies and banks to cut ties with the NRA, crossing over the line from efforts to persuade the companies and banks – which would be permitted – to attempts to coerce them, which are not.

The Supreme Court also indicated, however, that when the case returned to the court of appeals, the lower court could consider whether Vullo is entitled to qualified immunity – which could prove to be a high bar for the NRA to surmount…

In a 20-page decision issued 10 weeks after the oral argument, the Supreme Court unanimously reinstated the NRA’s claim against Vullo.

United Kingdom Enacts ‘Emergency Ban’ on Puberty Blockers for Minors

On Wednesday, the government of the United Kingdom declared a new “emergency ban” on the prescription and distribution of puberty blockers for underaged children, in yet another defeat for the transgenderism movement.

As the Daily Caller reports, the latest announcement follows previous decisions by England and Scotland in March and April, respectively, to halt the use of puberty blockers for minors under the age of 18, as the long-term physical and mental effects of such treatments are still not yet fully understood.

The new regulation will be enacted over a three-month period from June 3rd to September 3rd, during which private prescribers in England, Scotland, and Wales, plus “prescribers registered in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland,” will be forbidden from offering puberty blockers as a treatment for gender dysphoria. The ban will also prevent providers from participating in the “sale or supply” of such treatments.

“During this period no new patients under 18 will be prescribed these medicines for the purposes of puberty suppression in those experiencing gender dysphoria/incongruence under the care of these prescribers,” the government announcement reads. “In addition, the government has also introduced indefinite restrictions to the prescribing of these medicines within [National Health Service] primary care in England, in line with NHS guidelines.”

The drugs affected by this ban include “gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues – medicines that consist of, or contain, buserelin, gonadorelin, goserelin, leuprorelin acetate, nafarelin, or triptorelin.” Patients over the age of 18 will still be allowed to access such drugs. Also, minors who have already been on such medication for 6 months or more prior to June 3rd will be permitted to continue getting prescriptions for puberty blockers.

In recent months, the U.K. has cracked down on the promotion and use of puberty blockers, gender mutilation surgery, and other procedures championed by the transgender movement, which falsely believes that there are more than two genders and that anyone can simply change their gender at any given time.

A major milestone in the fight against transgenderism was the release of the Cass Review, a comprehensive report by pediatric consultant Dr. Hillary Cass, the former president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health. In her report, Dr. Cass concluded that there was “weak evidence” behind the theory that puberty blockers were a beneficial treatment for minors, and that the research claiming that such treatments are largely harmless was “insufficient” and “inconsistent.”

A Trump co-defendant in the Fulton County GA Election Fraud case has won his day in court before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee.

The judge has granted Harrison Floyd a hearing on his petition to have access to 500,000 ballots to prove his efforts to “expose” 2020 election fraud were based in fact, it was NOT an attempt to overthrow a legitimate election, as he and former President Donald Trump (along with others) has been charged with doing.

ED.NOTE: The article excerpted below is a clear example of DNC-CCP agit prop using the crypto-noramlizing technique when it uses such phrases as “debunked voter fraud theories,” a tactic of importing an opinion as a foregone conclusion fact everyone already agress with.

A Fulton County judge will allow a co-defendant of Donald Trump in the Georgia election subversion case to continue his effort to access thousands of 2020 ballots to argue debunked voter fraud theories.

Harrison Floyd, who led the organization Black Voices for Trump in 2020, argued during a hearing Tuesday that he should not have been charged in the racketeering case because his concerns about voter fraud and questions about the election results were legitimate.

Trump lost to President Joe Biden in Georgia by more than 12,000 votes.

Floyd’s attorneys are pushing to access more than 500,000 ballots from Fulton County, claiming they intend to produce “evidence” that thousands of votes were improperly excluded from the final vote tally.

In an order issued on Tuesday (May 28), the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia said it will hear oral arguments in the case in September.

Under the law signed by President Joe Biden in late April, ByteDance has until January 19, 2025 to sell TikTok, or at least convince the president that the process of selling TikTok is credibly underway, or effectively face a ban on the app. App stores like the Apple Store and Google Play would be forbidden from offering TikTok, and web hosting services would be forbidden from working with the app.

TikTok said the expedited pace of hearings means it may not have to file for an injunction to prevent the law from being enforced, according to a report from Reuters.

On behalf of two nonprofit pro-life pregnancy centers and one nonprofit network of affiliated centers, Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys are suing the New York attorney general for using her power to censor pro-life pregnancy centers because they tell women about the option of using progesterone for abortion pill reversal. Progesterone is a safe and naturally occurring hormone that can be used to counteract the life-ending effects of abortion drugs.

New York Attorney General Letitia James recently sued 11 faith-based pro-life pregnancy centers and a network of affiliated centers in the state, alleging—despite evidence to the contrary—that the centers are spreading “false and misleading” information about this progesterone treatment. She is unlawfully targeting pro-life pregnancy centers, threatening punishment for promoting and offering a service that gives women the option of changing their mind and attempting to save their baby’s life.

On May 22, 2024, Judge O’Connor (N.D. Tex.) ordered that the plaintiffs claiming that investment managers breached their fiduciary duty due to their ESG-focused investing be certified as a class for purposes of the litigation.  This decision is not especially surprising, particularly since the same judge denied the defendant’s motion to dismiss in this same case about two months ago, indicating that the allegations had merit (at least from the judge’s perspective).  And, as the court itself noted, “[c]lass certification is routine in ERISA cases.”

That said, this ruling by the court is still significant, as it constitutes a continued progression of this case, which is a securities class action based upon the alleged fault of investment managers in relying upon ESG factors when investing.  Thus, the developments in this case have particular resonance for the various pending actions based upon a similar theory (or the converse), and could impact future litigation.  In particular, rulings in this case at the summary judgment stage or later may present useful guidance for plaintiffs considering similar lawsuits, or for defendants confronting the prospect of liability.

I suppose if there is a good thing to come out of the Biden administration’s mishandling of the Israel-Gaza conflict, it’s the fact that so many terrorist sympathizers are exposing themselves and quitting the federal bureaucracy. We’ve seen several reports of officials quitting over the course of the conflict, and now we’ve got another one. Let the purge continue!

After the White House concluded that Israel was not restricting aid to Israel, Stacy Gilbert, who served in the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (given the administration’s record there, maybe she should have been fired long before now, but I digress) resigned her post.

Gilbert sent an email to staff Tuesday explaining her view that the State Department was wrong to conclude that Israel had not obstructed humanitarian assistance to Gaza, officials who read the letter said.

The cause for resignation is unusual in that it speaks to internal dissent over a hotly disputed report that the Biden administration relied on to justify continuing to send billions of dollars of weapons to Israel.

The ex-wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates has pledged to donate at least $1 billion to pro-abortion groups and other far-left organizations over the course of the next two years.

As reported by the Daily Caller, the announcement was made on Tuesday by Pivotal Ventures, Melinda Gates’ new charity, that it would spend money to oppose “the rollback of women’s rights and headwinds to social progress in the U.S. and around the world.” The group designated $200 million to be given specifically to American groups that support “advanc[ing] women’s power and protect[ing] their rights, including reproductive freedom.”

“For too long, a lack of money has forced  organizations  fighting for women’s rights into a defensive posture while the enemies of progress play offense,” said Gates in her own statement. “I want to help even the match.”
